Born in Rio Grande do Sul, Silva started his professional career with Coritiba Foot Ball Club, appearing in the 2009 Brazilian Cup against Centro Sportivo Alagoano[1] and Associação Atlética Ponte Preta.[2]
In that summer, he was bought by Portugal's S.L. Benfica,[3] being immediately loaned to another club in the country, Guimarães-based Vitória Sport Clube, and being rarely used during the top division season.
On 25 March 2011, Silva returned to Brazil, signing a long-term contract with Paraná Clube.
Silva appeared for Brazil U20s at the 2009 South American Youth Championship, as the nation emerged victorious.
